Jess Holly
Psychotherapy & Counselling

Supportive, non-judgemental and reparative psychotherapy & counselling. Affordable, online sessions to help you safely explore what's keeping you stuck.

Healing happens in the presence of another human.

Hello, I'm Jess

Nice to meet you.

I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor, which means I draw on a couple of theories in my therapeutic practice. My style is relational, meaning I pay attention to what is going on between us in the room as a reflection of what may be happening for you in your life. I believe that patience, care and empathy from another is what truly helps us heal and meet ourselves. To be seen, heard and understood.

I offer a supportive, non-judgemental and reparative setting for you to safely explore what's keeping you stuck or troubling you.

While I can help with a wide range of difficulties, I specialise in counselling for anxiety, self-esteem, identity and attachment.

Why therapy?

The therapeutic relationship is a transformative one. Why?

Many of us may not have received enough attunement from our caregivers in early childhood, causing us to develop unhelpful coping mechanisms that disconnect us from ourselves and others. While this was a clever way of coping in the past, it may be holding us back now. Or perhaps we have been through a particularly difficult string of experiences that have broken our trust in ourselves and others. This can manifest in a variety of ways, such as low self-esteem, anxiety, depression and identity issues.

I believe that therapy can offer a truly corrective experience that allows us to be fully met by another, so we can fully meet ourselves. Not by a AI, but by a real, human presence. That's where the healing happens, when real vulnerability is required of us. It may be uncomfortable at times, but together we can work through the beautifully tangled parts of being human.

Click book a free call which will generate an email for you to get in touch with me. I aim to reply within 48 hours.

2. A low pressure chat

We will gently explore what you’re going through at a relaxed pace. This free conversation lasts around 20 minutes. It's your chance to ask any questions, and decide if I am the right person to support you.

3. Moving forward

If you feel comfortable and understood, we can talk about meeting regularly. If not, that is okay too. The most important thing is that you find the right support for you. After six sessions, we'll have a review to talk through how things are going.
